Make it stand out.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to redesign your room. Maybe you just inherited a family piece that doesn’t go with your current decor. Perhaps you are on a tight budget and want to repurpose thrifted furniture. Whatever your reason, let Revival Custom Designs help you do it right!
Hi, I’m Alisa, the owner and creator behind Revival Custom Designs. I’ve been working in this field since 2018, following an 18 year career in veterinary medicine. You might wonder how I came into furniture refinishing after working with animals most of my adult life. Well, we built a new house in 2018 and I had a fresh new canvas to decorate and design however I wanted, but little budget left over to buy brand new furniture for every room. Besides, the new furniture I was looking at on Wayfair and other sites was mass produced, lacked quality, and looked like everyone else’s. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on furniture that wouldn’t last more than a few years. And so, what started as my hobby was born out of a need for good craftsmanship at affordable prices, yet have it custom designed to match the decor scheme in my home.
That being said, there’s a difference between flipping furniture and professional refinishing. My hobby progressed over two years into a profession, as over the years I immersed myself in the world of design, furniture repair and refinishing, and paint finishes. I pride myself on being thorough, flexible, honest, and fair, and always willing to work with the most hesitant of clients - not everyone knows exactly what they want when they are ready for a change, and no one understands that better than myself. Working one on one with clients to create the perfect piece is what I love to do!
In January 2022 I moved out of my home garage and into a commercial workshop in Chichester, NH. This move has enabled my business to grow even further and allowed for easier access to nationwide shipping, more room for inventory, and an improved work-life balance. As much as I love my job, I’m not always in the workshop. My full time job is mama and that always comes first. With busy, school aged children I am often in and out of my shop, so it’s always best to schedule an appointment if you need me. When I’m not at the workshop you can find me scouring estate sales and auctions, volunteering at our local school, or carting my kids around to various events.
